Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  •  Education: A 3-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6) recognized by SAQA in the relevant field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer applications.

Additional Advantages:

Key Responsibilities

As a Practitioner in the Disability Management Unit, you will:

  • Oversee disability-related inquiries and coordinate medical appeals and assessments.
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders, including the Department of Health and contracted medical practitioners.
  • Monitor adherence to Disability Management models within the region.
  • Draft correspondence and prepare statistical and status reports for the Disability Management Unit.
  • Support the implementation of projects and ensure compliance with financial management regulations, including the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
