General Manager: Finance

Salary: R 1,436,022–R 1,716,933 p.a. inclusive of benefits

Nature of Position: Permanent

Requirements: Candidates should hold an undergraduate qualification at
NQF Level 7 as recognized by SAQA in finance; Certificate for entry into the
SMS (Senior Management Service) endorsed by the National School of
Government; The requirements for application of Senior Management
Services (SMS) include the successful completion of an SMS Pre-entry
programme (Nyukela) as endorsed by the National School Government (NSG)
before appointment, Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are
essential and should be indicated on the CV.

Experience: 5 years’ experience in Senior Management level in the various
disciplines related to Financial Management.

Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act
(PFMA), Treasury Regulations on public entities and other relevant
regulations; ERP knowledge on Oracle or SAP or AccPacc or accrual
accounting compliant systems, functional / professional knowledge, planning
& organizing, innovation / creativity, policy analysis and development, manage
staff, project management, manage finance, strategic thinking and planning.

Key performance: Area The incumbent will oversee and monitor the Regional
Office’s budget; Oversee and manage the Regional Office’s financial
accounting functions; Manage the Regional Office’s supply chain
management services; Provide leadership in order to enhance the Unit
performance and outputs of the Unit and Manage resources and matters
pertaining to staff.

Senior Manager: Operations Management (X2)

Salary: R 1,216,824 – R 1,433,355 p.a. inclusive of benefits
Location: Gauteng Regional Office (Ref No: SAS GP06/10/2024-11)
Location: Limpopo Regional Office (Ref No: SAS LP06/10/2024-12)
Nature of Position: Permanent

Requirements: Candidates should hold an undergraduate qualification (NQF
level 7) as recognized by SAQA in the relevant field, Certificate for entry into
the SMS (Senior Management Service) endorsed by the National School of
Government; The requirements for application of Senior Management
Services (SMS) include the successful completion of an SMS Pre-entry
programme (Nyukela) as endorsed by the National School Government (NSG)
before appointment, Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are
essential and should be indicated on the CV.

Experience: 5 years middle management level experience in the relevant
field.

Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of SASSA’s mandate, policies, legislation,
Social Security, Poverty Alleviation; Understanding demographics of the
province and social-economics realities experience

Added Advantage: A post graduate qualification (NQF level 08) in the
relevant field will be an added advantage.

Key performance Area: To Manage, monitor, implement, integrate and
operationalize SASSA programmes, projects and norms and standards;
Manage, develop, monitor, implement and operationalize service delivery
initiatives; Implementation of the grant value chain and grants administration
processes within all districts and local offices; Provide leadership in order to
enhance the Unit performance and outputs of the Unit; Manage resources and
matters pertaining to staff and Ensure adherence to Section 57
(Responsibilities of other Officials) of the Public Finance Management Act
(PMFA, Chapter 6, Part 3).
