PLANT ATTENDANT (NORTH WEST)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning of screens, grit channels, anoxic, aeration, clarifier, chlorine contact channel & sump basins
• Testing and recording mlss, dsvi, ras, ss, ph, do, free & total chlorine, flow meter reading, screens, grit, & breakdowns.
• General maintenance at site (gardening, painting, routine service, oiling, greasing, inspections on tools, equipment & pumps, ext.)
• (Safe declaration, permit to work, Toolbox Talk, Shift handover, Mini risk assessment, Covid file, Scratch free days, PTO’s, Near misses, Incident communication,
• Sampling
• House keeping

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 – Matric/or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• Water treatment background / experience in the mining or related industry for at least 2 years will be advantageous

• Good communication skills

• Ability to read and write in English,

• Self-discipline,

• Good leadership skills,

• Ability to work under pressure and good teamwork values
