Job Advert Summary To facilitate, assess, monitor, evaluate and improve risk management as applied within the organization and its subsidiaries.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Diploma in Risk Management
  • A degree in the following subjects is an added advantage:
  • Risk Management
  • Management or Business studies
  • Finance or Economics
  • Auditing
  • Law

Minimum of 2 years’ active risk management experience
Primary Duties
  • Proactively and continuously identify emerging risks including strategic, operational, and global water sector related risks
  • Negotiate risk management interventions
  • Liaise with Management and Employees to identify risks
  • Facilitate operational and strategic risk assessment workshops
  • Create awareness of risks management throughout the organization and ensure that the risk management culture is embedded within the organisation
  • Provide risk management support and training
  • Conduct regular review of the organisations risk management policy, standards, processes, and procedures to ensure they remain relevant and effective
  • Interrogate and recommend suitable controls after monitoring and evaluating the adequacy of control measures applied to mitigate risks
  • Identify corrective and continuous improvement interventions for implementation where required
  • Assist with the embedding of the risk management framework through advising and supporting management in its purpose and application
Knowledge
  • Knowledge and practical experience in implementing the Risk Management principles and process
  • Knowledge of risk frameworks including ISO31000:2018 & King IV Report on Corporate Governance
  • Affiliation with the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa (IRMSA) or other reputable risk management institute.
